Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany; processing takes place in data centres in Germany. When you visit the website, the server automatically processes technical access data (IP address, date and time, requested file, browser identifier). This data is required to operate and secure the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and is not combined with other data sources. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with the hosting provider. [Legal review: confirm the DPA with Strato.]
Cookies and consent
We only use services that are not technically necessary (e.g. analytics tools) with your consent (§ 25 (1) German TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). On your first visit, a consent banner asks for your choice; your decision is stored in a cookie and can be changed or withdrawn at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. In addition, the website stores one purely functional value in your browser's local storage (video playlist position); it contains no personal data and is not used for recognition.
Google Analytics 4
If you consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, integrated via Google Tag Manager (a management tool that sets no cookies itself and is only loaded after your consent), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse website usage; IP addresses are not logged. Processing takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings. Data may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Contact
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where related to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer required for processing your enquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2-4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, message) is processed solely to handle your request and is not passed on to third parties without consent.
